Best Practices for Submitting Your Photos
In order to create the best possible depiction of your home at the desired angle and overall viewpoint, I have outlined some steps to take in preparing your photos to submit to me that will be the “blueprint” for the portrait of your home.
Using these suggestions will better ensure that your home will contain the details that you want to be present and clearly visible.
Taking Photos
- First, find the best viewpoint of your house at the distance you desire and the angle that best showcases any important architectural features that will make your home portrait an image that you can enjoy for many years.
- Use a good quality digital camera or your phone if it has a good camera. High resolution photos are essential for me to depict the details of your house in an accurate manner. Please try to keep the camera horizontal for the overall viewpoint shot.
- Take as many close up shots as you would like, to show all architectural features and details that you want to definitely be in the portrait.
- If there is a particular time of day that you like in sunlight or even if you prefer to take photos on a cloudy day, either one works OK. But please be sure not to take photos when the sun is facing you and located right over, or right beside the house.
